Who we are
Chickling is made by Hanlon Digital LLC, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. In this policy, “we” means Hanlon Digital LLC. This policy covers the Chickling app for iPhone and Apple Watch.
What we collect
Nothing. We do not collect, receive, store, sell or share any personal data or usage data from Chickling. We run no server for the app, and Chickling has no account or login.
Where your data lives
What you enter, such as your baby’s name and birth date, feeds, diapers, sleep, pumping, growth and health notes, is stored on your iPhone and in your private iCloud database through Apple CloudKit. The Apple Watch app talks only to your paired iPhone.
Apple stores and protects your iCloud data under your Apple Account and Apple’s Privacy Policy. We cannot see or access it.
Sharing with a partner
Only when you choose to. If you invite someone, Chickling uses Apple’s iCloud sharing so the people you invite can see and add to that baby’s log. You can stop sharing at any time in Settings. We are never a participant and never receive the shared data.
No analytics, ads or tracking
The app contains no analytics, advertising, crash reporting or other third-party SDKs, and it makes no network requests except to Apple’s iCloud. Its App Store privacy label is “Data Not Collected”.
If you turn on “Share With App Developers” in iOS Settings, Apple may give us anonymous, aggregated crash and usage statistics under Apple’s terms. Nothing in it identifies you or contains your log.
Purchases
Chickling Plus is sold through Apple’s In-App Purchase. Apple handles payment, and we never receive your payment details or your Apple Account. The app checks your purchase with Apple on your device.
Alarms and notifications
Alarms and reminders are scheduled on your iPhone. Nothing about them is sent to us.
Children’s information
Chickling is used by parents and caregivers to record information about their own baby. That information is entered by the parent, stored only on the parent’s devices and in the parent’s iCloud, and shared only with people the parent invites. We never collect it.
The app is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
How to delete your data
- Delete any entry in the app.
- To delete everything, delete the app, then open iOS Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Manage Account Storage, choose Chickling and delete its data.
- If someone shared a baby with you, stopping sharing removes that baby’s data from your device.
This website
This website (hanlon.digital) uses Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. It uses no cookies and reports only anonymous, aggregated numbers. It is separate from the app: nothing from Chickling is sent to this website.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date below.
